I have sad news - Geoffrey Burbidge has died:

There doesn't seem to be much information about this yet, but apparently he died January 26.

Just recently I was thinking that I haven't seen any new papers from him. He will be missed.

Thank you for the news, Ari. He will be sorely missed, in particular as part of the observation-based astronomers who championed speculative work - always a little more grounded than Fred Hoyle.

I hope more details are forthcoming; condolences to Margaret are in order :(
